The city of Bergamo is located in the center of Lombardy, a strategic point for reaching the main cities of the region.
The oldest area of the city is Città Alta, nestled on the hills overlooking the plain.
A fascinating tourist destination, it is also an excellent reference point for reaching the beautiful lakes, valleys and mountains of Lombardy.
Bergamo is served by three airports, Milan Bergamo – Orio al Serio Airport, the third Italian airport by number of passengers, Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa.
From Orio airport, line 1 arrives directly in the Upper Town.
From Linate and Malpensa for transfers to Bergamo, consult the airports’ websites.
If you prefer a chauffeur-driven car pick-up service, ask your host.
Connected to Milan Bergamo Airport just 5 kilometers from the city, Bergamo can be reached from every airport in the world.

Città Alta is a limited traffic area. If you arrive by car you will need a transit pass. Ask your host to register you.
For parking, as an association we have an agreement with a covered garage.

By car, take the Bergamo exit of the A4 motorway.
Served by the national railway network, Bergamo can be reached by train from all over Europe.
Bergamo train station is close to the city center.
Public transport with line 1 connects Orio al Serio airport with the train station and Città Alta.
The typical funicular takes you from the lower city to the upper city in just a few minutes
and from the historic center to the San Vigilio hill.
